Everyone knows that eating nutritious food, exercising and getting plenty of rest is the key to maintaining good health. However, that may seem like an impossible task while you are in college. Often, sweets, fast food, caffeine and alcohol go beyond healthy options if you are in the company of friends or are stressed out from coursework. Here are some tips to keep you healthy despite your college routine.
Nutrition
Eat a variety of nutritious foods
. Your body actually needs more than 40 nutrients for good health, and there is no source of them. Your daily food choices should include a balance of good carbs, proteins, fruits, vegetables and dairy products. See the USDA food guide at mypyramid.gov.
Eat limited portions
. When you keep your portion sizes balanced and reasonable, it is easier to eat the food you want, and to keep the food healthy and healthy. What is the balanced part? A medium-sized piece of fruit is used for one. A cup of pasta is the equivalent of 2 servings and one pint of ice cream contains 4 servings.
DO NOT skip meals
. Skipping meals can lead to uncontrolled hunger and often lead to overeating. A light snack between regular meals can help if you are stressed over time. Just make sure you have at least two balanced diets.

Sugar is a source of empty calories that can use vitamins and minerals that are important for your body. Water not only helps to circulate water, but also helps circulate blood, removing toxins from our bodies and regulating body temperature.
Avoid too much caffeine
. Caffeine is an addictive drug that can affect your sleep and concentration while also affecting bodily functions such as muscle function and cleansing of waste products.

Start daily with a minimum of 30 minutes
We take care of you every day at the gym
Get at least 30 minutes of work each day. If the idea of sweating in the gym for hours doesn’t sound appealing to you, then head out to the main Frisbee game. Or, try walking or running. The important thing is to go!
Relax and take care of yourself

Make time every day, even for just 15 minutes, to relax and reflect.
Sleep well.
Allow at least 30 minutes of peaceful relaxation before bed at night, e.g. it is read.
Resist the temptation to use sleeping pills, when you are under pressure to write papers, study, etc.
Sleeping is not a waste of time! It is just as important and necessary as diet and exercise.
Public health
Participate and meet people in a beautiful place. Often college preparation can be difficult, especially when students leave a support system they do not know for the rest of their lives. Whether it is participating in a sports team or in Rhodes Student Government, joining a religious organization, volunteering in a soup kitchen, or helping in some other way, helping others helps us. The most important thing to remember is to find something that you are interested in and have fun with
